‘Live’ podcast recorded at Cumbrian awards event

A first! Recording a podcast ‘backstage’ at an awards event with a small audience and a tight turnaround was brilliant fun.

I write for Business Crack a website which is growing rapidly across Cumbria and beyond. We created podcast series earlier this year to offer something no-one else is doing at the moment - interviews with people out and about all over the region.

We were delighted to be commissioned to cover annual awards event for Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster at Energus in Workington with a twist.

Dr Zoe Billings explaining how she is sharing expertise gained in a career as a police officer to businesses.

Instead of talking to clearly delighted winners we spoke to a cross section of nominees as they arrived at the event.

Capturing the anticipation and buzz made for a brilliant experience and releasing it next morning meant everyone, win or lose, could get a sense of how important the event is in West Cumbria.
