Destination Sweden for shipping podcast

The Ferry Shipping Summit in Malmo was the venue for the first opportunity to take The Full Ahead podcast overseas.

More than 200 people from the European shipping scene descended on the event to share stories and listen to latest developments in technology.

Alistair Eagles, a former CEO of an Irish Sea shipping company, and myself were able to interview leaders from the industry along with those just starting out in their career.

During a busy 48 hours we were welcomed aboard the Polish and Baltic Ferry’s flagship at the port of Ystad as well as mingling with an eclectic mix of guests, many of whom were delighted to talk.

Returning home the work began to edit 12 hours of interviews into a series of five podcasts, each looking at a different aspect of maritime life today.

A great opportunity and one that has seen engagement in the podcast significantly increase.
