University of Sheffield hosts theatre podcast series
The story of how Morecambe’s Winter Gardens was almost lost but is now being brought back to life is the subject of a podcast series now hosted by the University of Sheffield.
A new video and podcast series shares how this iconic building is being rescued, restored and reimagined for the future. The podcast series explores the rich history and architecture of the building; the amazing people helping to run, maintain and restore the venue; and what the future holds for the space led by University of Sheffield academic Professor Vanessa Toulmin.
It was a commission that grew from recording and supplying interviews to recruiting and working with a volunteer who was the ideal narrator for the series. With her in mind I scripted the series and worked with producer Kitty to create something we’re very proud of.
