Imagining the future

My latest commission was fascinating; how can design and technology work together to enhance out health? This, and many other discussions surrounded ideas showcased at Lancaster University’s ImaginationLancaster's Festival of Futures earlier this month.

Months of work behind the scenes between Imagination and three university partners brought the project together. I was delighted to be asked to support it via a podcast and series of articles which I’ll share soon.

The festival is the culmination of the £13.2M Beyond Imagination project funded by Research England and Lancaster University. Over 600 people were involved in 9 satellite events, 2 symposiums and an exhibition of cutting-edge design research in collaboration with The Centre for Print Research, UWE Bristol, Lab4Living and Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment (HBBE) exploring how cutting-edge design research can contribute to a healthier, more prosperous and sustainable world.

Hearing people talk with passion and conviction really helps bring stories like this alive - and podcasting is an ideal medium to share their stories.
