Making a difference; new podcast series showcases innovative collaborations

A new series of podcasts about ground-breaking collaborations between academics from Lancaster University and communities all over the world has been released.
Commissioned and recorded in spring 2023, the five part series includes the remarkable story of how work with a socially deprived coastal town has helped the community recover after COVID-19. Using insight offered by the university, the Healthier Fleetwood initiative worked to refine their approach to helping all sections of the town’s community recover after the trauma of the pandemic.

In another I reported how design research is helping reduce the smart tech graveyard which can be found gathering dust in almost every home.

Other episodes included research on new nuclear fusion technology, work to counter counterfeit drugs and efforts to tackle the stigma of Albinism.

The series can be heard on Spotify and other platforms: https://open.spotify.com/show/3dineWPW6jNZfQMZhnfOtb
